Stella Regulas Black looked across the lake. She was sitting on a rock minding her own business and trying to digest the fact that she was on the hollowed grounds her father and mother once trekked as young teenagers. She wasn't sure what her father was doing in this time in his life but she was sure that he was driving his older brother up the wall. Her Uncle Sirius had pulled strings with her Headmaster to get her here. She had to make sure that she didn't blow it with her pranks and other such things that she was known to do. After all she was sure that Madame Maxime wouldn't be too happy to see her. She almost took half the school down with the classroom she accidentally blew up. Okay so Stella wanted out of an all girls school. Or rather a mostly girls school. She couldn't stand the estrogen roaming around the walls of the school.
When she transferred to Durmstrang she was rather happy. The guys were rather happy to see another female around their school. The happiness of that didn't last though. The guys were rather arrogant and annoying. Still she found her friends and settled in nicely with the group of Durmstrang student. Then she was told at the end of last year that they'd be participating in the Triwizard Tournament hosted by Hogwarts. She was happy about the prospect of being able to talk her way into going with the rest of the group. When school started this year in her letter she had gotten the news that she was to attend the Tournament. She was so excited that she almost forgot she'd have to be getting her school things. However she did have an uncle to remind her.
She had been in contact with her Uncle since the beginning of the summer. She was happy to see that she had family around still. However it didn't get her away from the damn orphanage that she'd been living in for awhile now. Now she was here and there was no turning back. Something seemed so bitter sweet about all of this as she looked out as the boat that had brought them all here. Some of the boys were out talking to the Slytherin boys of course. She wondered if she would have been sorted into that house based on the merit of her family. Her Uncle had not so there had to be some way around the family norm right? She shrugged it off as she threw a pebble into the lake. She wanted to have a nice little meeting with a giant squid.
